Analisa Pengendalian Kualitas Produk End RR Susp D87A Menggunakan Pendekatan Lean Six Sigma dan Kaizen di PT. Intermesindo Forging Prima
PT. Intermemsindo Forging Prima is a forging and machining manufacturer that produces two-wheeled,
four-wheeled vehicle parts and other parts. In building its business, PT. Intermesindo has committed to
continuously improving the quality and expertise of human resources. However, in the production process,
it is not free from product defects, one of its products is End RR SUSP D87A where there were product
defects in the period January to March 2024 with a defect percentage exceeding the maximum limit of
2.36%. The purpose of this study is to analyze the causes of defective products that occur in the End RR
SUSP D87A production process using the Lean six sigma method through the (define, measure, analyze,
control) DMAIC stages and to provide suggestions for improvements that can be given through kaizen
improvement. The results of the study showed that the DPMO value and sigma value were obtained on
average of 4.037 sigma. This can be interpreted that out of every 1,000,000 production times, there is a
possibility of 5747.10 defects in the End RR SUSP D87A production process. There are two most
dominant types of defects, namely underfill and lapping defects. In underfill defects, the main causal
factor is the material factor where the material filling is not full enough. While in lapping defects, it
occurs due to inhomogeneous material factors which are caused by the uneven heating temperature
process used so that the material is not cooked properly.
